Typical installation

Installation procedure

The upfront preparation, planning and communication process has not been included in this description as this would go beyond the scope of this web presence.

The actual installation in a village is conducted as following:
Before the installation starts, the local workers are being trained by a professional craftsman as shown on the following picture from an installation in Ghana:

The workers receive T-Shirts that clearly identify them as workers on the project and have to wear a safety helmet which will also be provided during the installation process.

The process to install a solar system is very simple and takes approx. 30 minutes:

  • Step 1: Quick introduction to the people living in the house telling them what is about to happen
  • Step 2: Erection of the ladder from the ground to the roof of the house
  • Step 3: Fixation of the solar panel on the roof
  • Step 4: Wiring of cables up to 3 bulbs and fixing of the lights
  • Step 5: Fixation of the battery energy box and connection of the wiring
  • Step 6: Testing of the whole solar system installed
  • Step 7: Educate/train the people on how to properly use the system installed for them

The following pictures clearly demonstrate that we have a proven approach that is working in the field.
